84 wraps day of practice
June 2, 2007DOVER, DE-AJ and the No.84 crew wrapped the day of practice at Dover today in preparation for tomorrow’s Autism speaks 400. The first session was a 50 minute outing for the Cup cars this morning. AJ ended up 34th overall with the best time of 24.809 (145.109-mph). The biggest issues they battle was lack of grip and tightness.
They went out for final practice and worked through some changes, but ended up still a little tighter than AJ wanted. His Camry finished 31st overall with the best time clocking in at 24.891 (144.631-mph).
"We've just got to better balance on the car," said AJ. "We're not there. I do feel better about going into the race tomorrow than I did even at Charlotte, so we'll just try to stay on the lead lap and work our way up."
They are expecting rain tonight and much cooler temperatures for tomorrow for the race. The start time is 1:30 p.m. (ET) with coverage starting at 1:00 p.m. on FOX.
