Don't mean nothing...but its good

AJ Allmendinger started the Darlington weekend off right, setting the 10th fastest time in the first practice session and then going better still to lead the second practice.

His fast lap time of 178.679 mph was 006.-seconds quicker than the 88 car. Needless to say, AJ is digging his Red Bull Toyota so far in his third visit to see "The Lady In Black."

"We had a good test this week at Lowes, and to come out and be quickest today is just an awesome way to start the weekend. I'm really happy for my guys on this 84 car. but everyone knows that they don't pay for practice! The car is great in qualifying trim and hopefully we can get a good spot for the start. We still have some work to do on the race set up, but no doubt, I'm happy about how we started this weekend off."

There will be some time to work on that race set up again on Friday with practice at noon and then again at 2PM before qualifying kicks off at 5 PM.
