Rain, rain, go away...but hey, in the show!

The Midwest continued to see plenty of precipitation again on Friday, as qualifying was rained out at Michigan International Speedway. But fortunately, that didn't mean disaster for AJ as the 84 will line up 39th for Sunday's LifeLock 400.

"It's too bad we didn't get to qualify because we've had good cars in qualifying and I'd have loved to keep that top-ten starting streak going," said Allmendinger. "But the good thing is that the car was even better in race trim and we can do even more work on it in practice tomorrow."
